Annie Standish: Coach Brentwood Leopards U14’s Girls

I started playing Basketball at 9 years old. At 12 years old I played for my local league women?s team which gave me the experience and confidence to go on and play for the England U15 team.

I continued to play senior women?s basketball at local, county and at National league level before retiring and hanging up my boots.

My coaching career was inspired by my PE teacher who also encouraged me to go into teaching. I have been privileged to Coach with the English Mini Basketball Association taking England U11 teams to Spain, Hungary and Italy.

I have coached school teams, county teams and senior women?s teams but my passion is working with children, develop an individual skill level and encouraging players to be confident and enjoy participating in this exciting sport.
